Application Instructions

Administer orally using a suitable magnet or bolus applicator. Restrain the animal properly and place the magnet over the back of the tongue. Use in cattle considered at risk of ingesting metal objects.

Item Description

These rumen magnets are designed to help protect cattle from internal injury caused by swallowed nails, wire and other metallic objects. By trapping sharp metal in the stomach, they help reduce the risk of hardware disease and the complications that can follow in dairy or beef systems. The pack of 12 is useful for routine application to at-risk animals, especially where TMR feeding, repair work or grazing near yards increases the chance of metal ingestion. A magnet is intended to remain in the animal for life once correctly administered.
